Our Center

The ARKESIS Mental Health Center takes its name from a deeply rooted Greek concept: help, support, and assistance - but also self-sufficiency, the inner strength that is nurtured through care.

We are inspired by the idea that support and care are among the most precious gifts we can offer ourselves. Psychotherapy is exactly that—a gift that opens the path to self-awareness, healing, and growth. In fact, psychotherapy is not just a “process” of healing; it is a profound act of self-care, an opportunity for discovery, acceptance, and growth.

Our Center combines psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches with systemic and group psychotherapy, couples therapy, parenting counseling, as well as specialized psychiatric support. Our team, consisting of experienced psychotherapists and psychiatrists, offers personalized care for adults, adolescents, and children. The Center’s scientific direction and philosophy are shaped by Melina Tzakou, Psychologist and Psychoanalytic/Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, who holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Applied Developmental Psychology.

If you feel that the pressures of daily life, stress, relationship difficulties, or other challenges are negatively affecting your daily life and, as a result, your well-being, we are here to support you. Together, we can work through whatever is troubling you and find solutions that align with your needs and values.
